New Labour replaced by aliens? Interesting Dr Who tonight!
I know they deliberately didn't say who was in power but they looked pretty New Labour to me (as in Penelope Wilton's "Well, I'm not one of the Babes..." comment). Except for the alien who looked like Anne Widecombe, that is. Great fun.

Last night I was watching Invasion of the Daleks (from November 1963) on a recently-accquired DVD. I'm always amazed at how closely the Daleks parallel the current misadminsistration--especially the way they get all excited at the idea of death and destruction.

on edit: I think the correct title is The Dalek Invasion of Earth

4. It gets better!
Temporary Prime Minister: "I know there are masssive weapons of destruction that can be launched within 45 seconds! We need a United Nations resolution to start a war!"

Russell T. Davies obviously despises Blair - do you think the BBC will catch a bit of flak for broadcasting this during an election?

5. No, I shouldn't think so,
I think the fewer references to WMD the better, as far as Tony is concerned. But perhaps we should be wary of "large" MPs...
