I will be voting in a Council by-election today!
I'll be voting later today in a by-election to find a replacement for somebody who's been kicked off the Town Council round where I am at the moment for non-attendance. Said Councillor was also Tory PPC for Nick Clegg's seat of Sheffield Hallam but he's gone from that position as well.

To be honest I'm not overly excited by any of what's on offer. I've had a couple of leaflets but to be honest none of them have had anything exciting to say. Nonetheless I will still vote as it's the only way to make the rotten swine listen.

1. Hope the best person wins (at any rate not a Tory!)
'kicked off for non-attendance'; hmph - just shows that Tories don't always apply the same work ethic to themselves as others.

2. Well we will have to wait for the results won't we?
I expect it to be between the Tories and Lib Dems.

My own personal circumstances have changed quite dramatically last year and I'm no longer in Essex, which means that I got a leaflet from Labour for the first time since 2005!

3. Turned out that the Lib Dems took it by 13 votes.
Obviously having a councillor kicked off in disgrace put the Tories at a disadvantage.
