Whatever I might think about Tory policies, ideology, and so on, I am in no doubt now that this man Cameron is the best political salesman I have ever seen.

Better than Blair, better than Clinton.

I don't think Labour have a prayer of winning against this man.

2. We do not need another glorified salesman
I've had enough of pseudo-Blairite soundbite politicians more interested in grabbing power then in serving the common good.

4. "Better than Blair, better than Clinton"
I don't think he was as skilled a politician as either of those. Without the economic depression and New Labour fatigue, Cameron would not be anywhere as affective as he is now. If Cameron had been leading the Tories in 2001 and 2005, the Labour Party would have still won these elections.

While he trumps Brown in the charisma stakes, he isn't close to Blair or Clinton.

5. Funny, I thought it was a thoroughly mediocre speech.
Probably the worst I've seen Cameron make- lazy, hollow stuff redolent of a man who now believes he can cruise into no. 10 on autopilot.

And I certainly don't think he's in the same league as Blair and Clinton when it comes to political salesmanship. Fortunately for him (in that department) he's only got to deal with Brown and Clegg, neither of whom, lets face it, could be trusted to make a success of a Betterware round.
