Unite Against Fascism Northeast is holding a public meeting following the European Elections to launch an immediate counter to the publicity and success that the BNP may gain from the elections and to plan our future strategy against them.

During the Euro elections UAF supporters have distributed thousands of leaflets in targeted areas of Sunderland, Newcastle, South Tyneside and Durham. We have leafleted the Stadium of light and St James’s Park. We have held information stalls a variety of events and in town centres.

Now we must build upon our successes and create a stronger campaign against the fascists. We must unite with every other anti fascist organisation, trade union and individual. If the BNP are gaining any ground it is partly because they are organising constantly and we now need to meet this threat with similar intensity.

The meeting is open to all supporters and you are asked to make every effort to attend and to encourage others to do so.

Mind you, I did notice that Labour were heavily involved in anti-Facist campaigning here in Essex.
