And I'm always amazed by the amount of RW-American influence on British RW sites. All right, we are Brits on a predominantly American board; but we aren't the owners of it, and DU isn't a board which thrives on isolationist nationalism - 'FreeBritannia', I ask you! and then to find it's co-founder isn't even British.

"Babe," I believe, is the pet name given to her by her Brit husband "The Masked Marauder" ('nuff said).

She has nothing to do with our late lamented friend Bulldog/Albus's "Free Britannia" site: there appears to be a long-term disagreement over the domain name with the much nastier "Sterling Times" site which Bell Tent Babe took over some years ago, following which many of the FB posters were thrown off for being Insufficiently Crazy.

The reason that FB has a quota if wingnuts is not because of Balbdog, but because of his much nastier co-host "Bestbear" who, in spite of being told that his presence was no longer welcome on Sterling Times for being not only Insufficiently Crazy but a Boring Old Fart to boot, spends a lot of time seeking redemption by trolling through the dark underbelly of Freeperland and inviting choice wingnuts to join FB so that they can agree with his increasingly nutty and often pro-BNP postings.
