Channel4.com launches FactCheck website

It was inspired by the U.S. Factcheck.org. It keeps tabs on politicians' claims and promises.

2. Channel 4 (UK) usually does a good job on reporting the news

also we have an equivalent of the Fairness Doctrine in force here. So I'm hopeful that there won't be a partisan lean.

GE and Microsoft (both huge Repug contributors) owns NBC and their offshoots.

Disney owns ABC. This is the park that once refused admission to people with long hair and "mod" clothing.

Viacom (chaired by *-supporter Summer Redstone) owns CBS.

Rupert Reagan-Lover and Roger Ailes (media advisor under four Repuke presidents) run Faux.

CNN is more or less turning into Faux junior out of ratings thirst.

Unless someone has the balls and the guns to wrest control from these MNCs who profit heavily from the war and 24-7 coverage of celeb-reality fluff pieces, hate to say it, but we (that is, the good netizens of the blogs and this site) ARE the media. At least the only truthful one.
