Hey, Northern Neighbors!!! Joe Lieberman is CANADIAN!!!

You've put the man on the FIVE spot!!! How very international!!!

...upon careful examination of the Canadian Five Dollar Bill, Bobs Newswire has discovered that the image of Sir Wilfrid Laurier, elected Prime Minister to Canada in 1896, bears more than a striking similarity to the three term Senator from Connecticut, leading at least one Newswire editor to refer to the resemblance as "Quite unnerving." We're not sure what it all means, but perhaps Senator Lieberman's rise to the forefront of American politics was foretold -- Prime Minister Laurier reincarnated, the pre-destined journey of a man with political prowess in the genes. http://www.bobsnewswire.com/BOBSFLASH_Lieberman.htm

Hey, if any more of you good folk have anything to add to my PEI thread here in the Canada forum, please stop by and give me some tips and pointers--thanks in advance!!

1. Canada Can Keep Him
With apologies to our neighbors to the north, but you can keep Lieberman (if you'll take him).

I feel sorry for Larry Linville, having been typecast into that role. (The late Larry Linville)

Edited on Wed Jan-12-05 12:45 PM by iverglas

edit ... Okay, for the yanks and any junior Canucks in the vicinity, that's Joey Smallwood, iconic Premier of Newfoundland (... and Labrador) and last Father of Confederation, on the left.

17. ah, c'mon ;)

I happened on the pic of Joey when looking at a site that had pics of Pierre, and I thought, Oh my.

Part of what it all shows is that you can find a pic of almost anybody that looks like a pic of almost anybody else. ;)

And, of course, you can't tell a book by its cover.

What I can't understand is how some women, apparently, find Dubya attractive. I dunno, maybe if I'd been raised by wolves and had no idea of what a Bush was, and then someone had shown me a photo of him and told me that he was a hero of the struggle for peace, justice and democracy, I'd have thought he was cute. I'll never know.

Apologize for your mental cruelty. LOL.

Sorry, Liberman just doesn't seem like much of a Democrat to me.

18. Zell on Earth
I never did understand what a "Bush Democrat" is...still, Lieberman is a boyscout compared to that dimwit "Democrat" from Georgia that spoke at the GOP convention!!! What was his name...Zell something. John Stewart called him "Zell on Earth".

16. It's color-coded too
You can be blind drunk and still be able to tell at a glance what size bill you just pulled out.

Another thing about the fiver: it's quick and easy to turn Sir Wilfrid into Spock, just do the eyebrows, sideburns, and ears, then send it back into circulation! Tons of fun!
