Enterprise-Bulletin: What [Guergis] Meltdown?
Security footage doesn't jibe with airport employee's account of Guergis 'meltdown' in Charlottetown

TORONTO — She admits it was a busy day.

So when Simcoe-Grey Member of Parliament Helena Guergis showed up at the Charlottetown Airport back in February to catch a flight to Montreal, she was in a bit of rush.

...

"We were running a bit behind, but we never asked for anything special (going through the airport)," said Guergis on Tuesday morning, after the Enterprise-Bulletin viewed the security footage in a Canadian Air Transport Security Authority office at Pearson International Airport.

The viewing was arranged by Guergis; as the 'subject' person in the video, CATSA is only permitted to show the footage to a third party with her consent. CATSA does not publicly release security footage.

2. 'I'll be back on the ballot. One way or another,' Guergis says
Today I became the third journalist to see the now infamous Helena Guergis Charlottetown airport tape (Peter Mansbridge being the first).

You may remember it was back in February, long before some of Guergis' more recent troubles, that we widely reported Guergis had not behaved quite like a Minister at the P.E.I. airport as she was rushing to catch a flight.

At the time she admitted that she spoke "emotionally to some staff members."

But now, Guergis is trying to set the record straight.
