John Reynolds
The Hon. John D. Reynolds has joined Lang Michener's Vancouver office as Senior Strategic Advisor. He has nearly 40 years of experience at the highest levels of national and provincial government and in a diverse range of cross-border business enterprises. Mr. Reynolds is thus uniquely qualified to advise corporate and business clients on concerns involving public policy advocacy, natural resource development, and growth opportunities in markets throughout North America, Asia/Pacific and Africa.

With his knowledge of the interrelationships between corporate strategy and government policy in the global economy, Mr. Reynolds is positioned to advise companies of any size that seek to identify and exploit new international market opportunities. He served for three years as Vice Chair of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association- Executive Committee (the first Canadian political leader to hold such a position), making him well positioned to draw on relationships established among the Association's 112 Commonwealth nations, states and provinces. He has also been Vice Chair of the Canada/UK Parliamentary Association's Executive Committee.

Mr. Reynolds uses his first-hand involvement in the domestic political process to serve as an advocate for clients and their business objectives. During his most recent 10 years in the House of Commons, Mr. Reynolds served numerous shadow cabinet roles, was Official Opposition Whip and House Leader, and was elected by the caucus and the Executive Committee as Leader of Her Majesty's Official Opposition. Mr. Reynolds also served as Chair of Stephen Harper's Leadership Campaign and Co-Chair of Prime Minister Harper's 2006 Election Campaign. His nine years of provincial legislative and ministerial experience well position him to help British Columbia business interests achieve even the most complex and sophisticated strategic objectives.

Steve Harper is a business executive with over 30 years experience in the global, aerospace, defense and space industries spanning new ventures, advanced programs and production of highly engineered products and systems. He has successful track records in positions of program management and operations; strategic planning and business development; and corporate development including several M&A transactions (buy-side, sell-side and integration). He has held increasing positions of responsibility in engineering, business development, program management, and product line management with P&L accountability with eight global aerospace primes and OEMs including British Aerospace, Martin Marietta (Lockheed Martin), Kaiser Marquardt, Agusta Aerospace Corporation (Agusta-Westland), and General Dynamics. Steve is presently the Product Line Manager for Bipropellant rocket engines at Aerojet, which supplies in-space, flight rocket engines to the global space marketplace. Applications include: the Space Shuttle Orbiter, many of the world’s geosynchronous satellites, the International Space Station re-supply vehicles (the European Automatic Transfer Vehicle & the Japanese HII Transfer Vehicle), NASA’s Cassini mission to Saturn and NASA’s new Orion program.
