Canada is looking better everyday.
I am not feeling good about this election, guys.

This is making me sick to my stomach in fact. If Bush pulls this off, I am seriously seriously considering a move to your country. Either that or Europe but Canada REALLY REALLY looks good. I think you are also going to see more of us lefty Yanks heading to your door soon.

I hope I am wrong but this is getting really scary!

:scared:

1. I know of at least two new Republican senators
elected tonight who stated homosexuals should not be allowed to teach our children. One even said that unwed mothers should not be allowed to teach and girls should not go to the bathroom together because of fears of lesbianism. Bush will be able to nominate probably two or three new Supreme Court justices this term- they will be able to legalize this discrimination. This is a very dark day for my country. You Canadians can laugh about those stupid Americans but this shit is real. There has been a dramatic swing in this country towards fundamentalism and I see a very real threat. It's not hysterics- this country is screwed and I want out.

2. I'm truly sorry Cascadian
My heart is heavy right now for you, your country, and the rest of the world. I think this election is being stolen but will not concede defeat until John Kerry does.

I'm not a religious person but I am praying for the entire world right now.

Going to bed now...it's been a long night and I gotta go to work tomorrow.

7. Thank you.
It has been a depressing week for me. I am trying to put a brave face on this but it is very hard.

Somehow I think I will cope.

4. This is excruciating...
for all of us in the world, I cannot imagine being an American right now. How on earth people don't see the inevitable dangers ahead, is well beyond me.

I feel it will take your country years to recover from this administration.

6. Can we arrange for you to move to marginal Tory seats?
If you're going to the BC lower mainland, move to Coquitlam, Surrey or West Van - Sunshine Coast.
