Klein quietly re-introduces Third Way reforms
The Alberta government has quietly released a new version of its so-called "Third Way" health-care plan.

Earlier this year, public opposition forced the Alberta Conservatives to back away from the most controversial elements of the health-care plan. It proposed the creation of two-tier health care and a bigger role for private health insurance.

The revised version was released earlier this month without a press release or official announcement. The document retains a controversial proposal to expand the role of privately owned surgical clinics.

NDP health critic Ray Martin isn't impressed with the revised plan. "I see this as a sneaky government bound and determined to keep pushing their agenda of health-care privatization even if the public of Alberta doesn't want it," Martin told CBC News Thursday.
