Shocker...local paper backs Doyle's veto
On the editorial page, they back Doyle's veto of Voter ID and slams John Gard in the process.....this is new for this area...

Republican lawmakers promoted the plan as a deterrent to illegal voting, using not-too-subtle scare tactics. Without the law, they said, a convicted felon's vote could cancel out your vote. An undocumented worker - illegal alien in their parlance - could have a say in state government.

It reminded one of the infamous Willie Horton ads used to attack Mike Dukakis in the 1988 presidential election - felons and minorities threatening real Americans.

1. Well a true republican
would not approve of MORE government.So I guess it would not be going against their beliefs.
