Unbelievable... maybe bush is telling the truth
about his connections to a 'higher power.'

A tornado has been reported at Westgate Mall in Madison - yes, Westgate, one of two places in Madison that is showing F9/11 beginning Friday.

If that damned tornado took out the theater after I have my tickets in hand, I might actually have to become a believer and a freeper all at once! :(

2. Hi Vote_Clark
Westgate's about a mile from me...we could see the debris in the air before we headed for the basement. Please, let the theatre not be damaged! Looks like there are trees down all around the Tokay area.

4. Sabriel!
My daughter lives just off of Rosa, right behind Cuna. She and I were on the phone in our respective basements during the worst of the storm, and she said she could hear stuff hitting her windows. They didn't have any damage, though.

My son is at his Arabic Immersion Program - it's a UW class, but being hosted at Edgewood. He said they didn't get much bad weather there at all. They weren't supposed to have any English-speaking tv on, though one of the staffers made an exception, seeing as how Al-Jazeera isn't reporting on the weather in Madison, Wisconsin!

WOW, the news IS reporting a lot of trees down by you. I hope you're ok.

So, will you be going to F9/11 on Friday, if we aren't struck dead by lightning in the meantime??? :D

6. We're fine
But the folks just a few blocks to the south of us are not. We're closing our house sale Friday, so we were a little nervous about damaged goods! But everything turned out fine.

No F 9/11 for us...rats. Guess I'll have to see it later. To be honest, I'm not sure I could handle the visual impact right now. I can't even look at the Baby Ali picture on people's signature line.

3. Early damage reports....
http://www.channel3000.com/news/3454057/detail.html

There are reports of building damage on Fish Hatchery Road and large trees down on Gammon and Midvale roads and Whitney Way. Midvale is reportedly blocked in both directions by large trees. Traffic lights are out at some intersections, including Whitney Way and the beltline.

There is also an unconfirmed report of a funnel cloud sighting near West Towne Mall. A strong storm moved west through the area from Sauk County around 8:30 p.m.

Power is reportedly out in neighborhoods near Park Street.

I hope this helps...

5. Hmmmmmm,
We have a little apartment building just a few blocks east of Midvale. I haven't heard from any of the tenants, but it's too late for me to call in there to see if everything is ok. Oh crap, I just realized that that roof was mid-re-roof. :( I think they were just to putting the tar-paper on and then had to tarp it for the rain. I wonder where those tarps are now? Perhaps in Milwaukee???
