Milwaukee resident, and video rental / film supply store owner on hunger strike at the Capital. He's a long time friend, and will try to get more details from a mutual friend shortly. I wish the story had more details, but hopefully I can dig up something more soon. Those in the local indie film world will know of him.

on edit: the link doesn't mention the Hunger Strike, but was copied to my friends Facebook page from Xav's sister who's been updating my friend.

The one Capitol protester most willing to suffer for the cause of collective bargaining is not a union member, owns a small business, finds some common cause with the Tea Party, and is no big fan of President Obama.
Xav Leplae has been among the protesters on and off over the last two weeks, but there for good since Saturday, which is also the day he decided to go on a hunger strike.
"What I'm seeing is my state being eroded," Leplae, 44, told me Wednesday while we sat together on the floor of the rotunda. The effort to limit collective bargaining rights for public workers strips them of their humanity and makes civil society a "jungle," he said.
