AG Van Hollen Afraid to Debate Scott Hassett

Apparently JB Van Hollen is afraid to debate his Democratic opponent Scott Hassett. He won't even return phone calls to the Wisconsin Bar Association which is trying to organize a debate between the candidates for over the past two months!

Scott Hassett was forced to write JB directly and call him out on his cowardice and challenge him to 4 debates.

I love the weenie response from JB's campaign hack Darrin Schmitz:

"But the attorney general still has a job to do running the Department of Justice. Certainly there will be a debate but not because Scott Hassett is desperate,"

It sounds like Hassett is still waiting for JB's response.

he'll just put out more dirty, misleading ads like last time...he knows people don't bother looking at the reasons for something he alledges in his ads..He's a dirty player who doesn't seem to know Constitutional Law (let alone civil law)very well...I'm glad Doyle stepped in and didn't allow him to spend money to contest health care...

4. Heard him speak recently

Among other things, he said unlike our current AG, he would have jumped right in and got his department defending the stem cell research when that case came up. Also he thinks the Justice Department should not be so politicized as it is now--what a concept!. I think he'll do a fine job. More here at his website:
