ron johnson says sunspots cause "climate change"/(GLOBAL WARMING)
What a dolt.
http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/100814454.html

" . . . A global warming skeptic, Johnson said extreme weather phenomena were better explained by sunspots than an overload of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, as many scientists believe.

"I absolutely do not believe in the science of man-caused climate change," Johnson said. "It's not proven by any stretch of the imagination."

Johnson, in an interview last month, described believers in manmade causes of climate change as "crazy" and the theory as "lunacy."

5. It may actually be Minnesotan
I've read that he went to the U of M, and if as he says he lived at home while going to school, that would be right.

It seems rather suspicious that his official website is so cagey about his background. It says "Ron grew up in a family and in a place where one of the greatest compliments you could give a person was to say that he or she was a hard worker." It goes on to say he shoveled driveways and worked at his uncle's dairy farm, worked at the Minneapolis-based Jostens (think class rings) after college, and then moved to Wisconsin. Nowhere does he tell the name of his hometown, his college, the place where he took night classes toward an MBA (and didn't finish the final thesis). From the clues it seems to be in or near the Twin Cities area, but why not just come out and give some particulars? Is there some deep, dark secret in his past that would look bad enough to sink his campaign?

6. He grew up in Mancato MN and went to University of Minn.
I guess he wants people to think he's from Wisconsin.

7. Where did you hear about him being from Mankato?
It's 70 miles from Mankato to Minneapolis, so I seriously doubt he lived at home and attended U of M. Back at the time he was in college the institution at Mankato was called Mankato State College. Something is fishy here.

8. Our ABC affiliate here in Madison has been doing some
research on him, and they noted the vagueness of his website. Tonight they aired Who is Ron Johnson Part 2 and thats where they gave info on where he grew up and went to school.

9. I went back and looked at the bio on his website again

Ron and his wife of 32 years, Jane, met during his senior year of high school. While in college, Ron lived at home and worked full time in order to pay for all of his college expenses. Because of his work ethic, Ron was able to graduate college debt-free and with $7,000 in the bank. On August 20th of the same year he graduated college, Ron and Jane married.

Something doesn't compute here. If he lived at home in Mankato and worked full time, he sure didn't have time to commute every day to Minneapolis. Or maybe his family moved to the Twin Cities at the time he was going to college? Or maybe he means he worked at home in the summer to pay expenses? And he met his wife when he was a senior in high school, but she apparently lived in the Oshkosh area where her father's business is located.
