Waukesha Dems: 1 day, 7 candidates!
http://www.wispolitics.com/index.iml?Article=198444

Waukesha – Jeff Christensen, Chair of the Waukesha Democratic Party announced today that 7 more Democratic candidates officially have or will file for the November partisan elections. This is in addition to the previous 4 candidates who have announced for state office.

The new candidates are: Dawn Caruss of Waukesha, for the 97th Assembly District; Dick Pas of Oconomowoc for the 38th Assembly District; Victor Weers of Brookfield for the 98th Assembly District; Don Vanpool of Waukesha for the 84th Assembly District; Tom Hibbard of Hartland for the 99th Assembly District; David Hucke of Wauwatosa for the 14th Assembly District; and Dwayne Block for Oconomowoc for the 13th Senate District.

------------------------------

Hey if we can find this many candidates to run in Waukesha County, let's get candidates to kick some republican arse throughout the state!

1. The Waukesha Dems are a model of great organization
They have an active recruitment plan that tries to contest every position and a training program that helps the candidates at whatever level of effort they want to put into getting elected. Other areas would do well to find out more about their program and follow it.

(An aside: Dwayne Block deserves a lot of credit for single-handedly organizing a monthly breakfast meeting for Dems in Oconomowoc that brings in speakers on various topics and gives candidates a platform to present updates on their campaigns. The next one will be after a summer break. Oconomowoc is a tough area.)
