FEINGOLD HOLDS LISTENING SESSIONS IN
MARATHON AND PORTAGE COUNTIES ON MAY 15
U.S. Senator Russ Feingold will hold listening sessions in Marathon County and Portage County on Saturday, May 15. Senator Feingold has pledged to hold listening sessions in all of Wisconsin's 72 counties each year of his six-year term and this will be the Senator's 18th year of holding listening sessions. These sessions will mark the 61st and 62nd listening sessions of 2010 and the 1285th and 1286th since 1993. If constituents need special accommodations at the listening sessions they should contact Senator Feingold's Middleton office at 608-828-1200.

His Marathon County listening session will be held at 10:15 a.m. in the Health Science Center Auditorium at Northcentral Technical College, 1000 West Campus Drive, Wausau.

His Portage County listening session will be held at 1:15 p.m. in the gymnasium at the Plover-Whiting Elementary School, 1400 Hoover Ave, Plover.

The meetings will last up to an hour.

"I look forward to meeting with constituents in Marathon and Portage counties, as I learn more at these town meetings than I learn anywhere else," Feingold said. "In order for me to be an effective legislator, need to hear from the people I represent and they deserve every opportunity to let me know directly what they think about a particular issue. This is democracy in action and I am grateful to all those who take time out of their busy schedules to come to my meetings and let me know about the issues important to them. The feedback I receive is essential to my job as a U.S. Senator."

NOTE: SENATOR FEINGOLD WILL BE AVAILABLE TO MEET WITH THE MEDIA FOR A SHORT TIME PRIOR TO THE LISTENING SESSIONS.

1. Just got back
from the one in Marathon County. As usual, Russ did a great job. There were a few righties there but they submitted written question just like the rest of us did. There was no shouting out or angry discourses. No protest signs.

2. Thanks for the report.
I heard it was more tame than the one in Poniatoski last fall.

3. Definately
I was at the one in Poniatoski and as that one was so contentious I was a little wary of going to the one in Wausau. I am really glad I attended the Wausau one as it made me feel a little better about going to these affairs.
