1. I could ask the same of FSU...

Okay....full disclosure...I attended FSU, met my wife while she was doing graduate work at FSU and my son has just received his Masters from FSU.....BUT...Bobby Bowden is well past his "sell by" date and the Seminoles have not changed with the times.....FSU didn't belong in that bowl game at all...

2. they bring a lot of over the top fans and that means MONEY

to what ever city is lucky enough to get the Badgers to come to their bowl game

4. We weren't at the game in Orlando

but we were enjoying the beautiful weather in FL during the week and my mom mentioned to my dad "we should go see the Badgers whenever they have a bowl game in a warm-weather city."

So there you have it. UW alums have money to spend. Just give them an excuse and they'll travel.

6. Travel

Badgers fans do travel ridiculously well. Most bowls, especially in this economic environment would kill for that!

3. Because to insure a "winning" bowl-eligible season...

...they always pad their schedule with 3 to 4 non-conference Level II patsies. May need 4-5 next year? Or just play the Packers 4 or 5 times...that way one of them is bound to win!
