Already facing possible discipline from a Judicial Commission complaint, state Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman also is now under investigation by the Office of Lawyer Regulation for long-distance calls to campaign fund-raisers and donors from his office when he was a district attorney.
Gableman has acknowledged making the calls as Ashland County district attorney in 2002, but has repeatedly said they were not political. One of the fund-raisers he called said she talked to Gableman around that time about scheduling a campaign event for then-Gov. Scott McCallum. " . . . . . and gableman was then appoointed by mccallum 2 months later. Not political my ass.
