2. Further info on where and how to get tickets
You can pick up tickets at the Obama offices beginning on SUNDAY AT NOON until they are gone. It would be wise to arrive at Marcus even before the 3 p.m. opening time to be sure of actually getting in.

Here is a list of the offices where tickets will be available. You can also save it for future reference when you want to drop in at your local Obama headquarters and put in some time helping out.

3. I thought that I have read that Obama has a big lead in the polls in Wisconsin.
If Obama does not consider Wisconsin to be a battleground state, then why is he coming here twice within a week? Here in La Crosse I am constantly seeing Obama and McCain ads on tv, so they both must consider Wisconsin to be in play.

4. Hubby just left to pick up tickets for our family.
Is Harley-Fest still going on at that time? Just wondering about traffic/parking situation...we're driving from quite a distance away. Normally, our Milwaukee-resident daughter would be around to guide us with these things, but she's out of town until Tuesday.

5. Harley stuff should be done... Tomorrow starts Labor-fest
We are going to that and entering thru the grounds. They recommended to get there by 4 latest because of having to go thru security (long lines).

6. We got the tickets!
It's a two-hour drive, but we are all excited. Thanks for the info. My husband is a union guy, so maybe we'll go early to enjoy some of those festivities too.

7. Milwaukee tickets "sold out" very quickly at the Fifth Ward office.
We were not able to get them. We will be at labor fest for a bit, though.

:hi:

8. I hope the crowd is HUGE!!!
Sorry you couldn't get tickets. I do remember waiting in line (with tickets in hand to see John Kerry) downtown Milwaukee last election. There were people (from the campaign) asking if everyone had tickets and were handing them out to those who didn't. I'm not certain if they ever even collected the tickets.

9. Apparently, lawn seats will not require tickets.
We may or may not try to get in; we'll see...I've heard Obama will be making *many* Wisconsin appearances in coming weeks.

11. Today's ticket allotment is gone, but I was told
that the office downtown (4th St.) will have some more, tomorrow at noon, for volunteers.

No word on what volunteer's might be asked to do -- if they'll let more people in, in exchange for same day event work, or if they'll ask for pledges for a set number of canvassing/phone bank hours, in the coming months.

If those tickets are all snapped up right away, too, I'm just going to walk down there, anyway -- it's down the street from my house, over, and left a little bit.

...If there are helicopter news cameras, every live body that's part of the "overflow" crowd at the gate just adds multiple bonus points, in P.R. value, to the final, sold-out total.

I'm thinking of it as sort of a silent protest, for all the folks rounded up and arrested on bogus charges, or otherwise kept from participating in the "Welcome RNC Committee" events, in St. Paul, where I used to live.

12. Got back a little while ago... Wow - it was great to be there!
He spoke about Gustav and taking care of others and unions for a little over 15 minutes. Then he came into the crowd and gratiously shook people's hands and smiled.
