Sen. Feingold slam dunks Michels in Wausau

I was almost embarrassed for Michels. He stuck to the republican methods, if you can't be right than keep repeating the lie.

Michels couldn't understand that when something is done in secret that it isn't public knowledge. He went on an on about there not being on case of the Patriot Act being abused. Russ explained what "in secret" meant but Michels couldn't grasp onto the information.

He also had no idea that a Bill is a very complicated issue, that they contain 100's of items to be decided on. Michals said if a bill had a raise for the soldiers he would vote for it no matter what else was contained in the bill - now that's fiscal responsibility -NOT!

At one point Michels claimed to have been in a foxhole when he was in the military. The info. below is from his website, can anyone tell me why he makes that claim?

3. In the first debate...

... he mentioned being in a foxhole in both Korea and the Philippines. I guess being in a foxhole is the best he can offer for military experience.

I hope I can find this online, I only have rabbit ears. :( The Patridiot Act was one of the biggest catalysts in my metamorphosis from a die-hard Republican into a Democrat. Tim Michels makes me wish to bring forth a voluminous technicolor yawn. Anyone who supports the Patriot Act as-is is a frighteningly dangerous person. Even those originally in support of the act now believe it needs amending.
