Q: What do the Mona Lisa and President Bush have in common?

A: A wily smirk.

While we will never know why Da Vinci painted such a smirk on the face of the Mona Lisa we can, as thinking human beings, have a pretty good idea why Bush displays such a gesture.

One likely reason is that he and his cronies are lining their pockets after inventing reasons to attack Iraq.

Another reason could be his success at gradually turning a country that once was revered as a beacon of democracy into a fascist state.

It could be due to his ability to convince millions of naive Americans that God is his personal adviser.

Then again, as the spoiled and arrogant rich boy whose daddy has the right connections, he has probably worn this smirk most of his life.

But more than anything, it is probably because he has duped so many people into believing that he cares about the future of our country and this planet.
