On a West Virginia mountainside: The Cost of War
While driving east of Parkersburg, WV, through a long stretch of wooded mountains and few homes, we encountered this powerful anti-war display covering an entire hillside:

It was clearly visible from both east and west-bound lanes, and we were so impressed we turned the car around so I could take a photo. We have no idea who authored this dramatic scenario, but it made an indelible impression and I wish we could thank the people responsible.

2. Not to mention thousands more wounded and/or disabled
Or the thousands of Iraqis.

Seeing this just tears at my heart -- Bush is a MURDERER. A twisted, ignorant, meglomaniacal, sociopathic MASS MURDERER.

Bless the mountaineer who found a way to bring such a powerful message to so many.

3. And the war in Iraq is as much for political reasons as anything.
Karl wanted a WAR PRESIDENT. All those people died so Bush copuld get close enough to steal another term. I'm getting so I hate every GOPer that voted for Bush, as bad as I despise Bush.

Bush got control of the Senate and another term by killing thousands! "Man of God" my ass!

7. How to tell where we are from
NathanDNC,

To the right of posters' names you will see four icons. You can see an individual's profile if you click on the second one from the left - that is, if the person has decided to enable that feature. Welcome to DU, you're gonna like it here!

I am in Morgantown every month or so for a weekend. If anyone is organizing any events in the area I would be happy to attend/help out if I can.

13. The sad truth -- in just barely more than one month
The number of dead posted on that sign -- 2299 -- has now grown to 2352.

May they rest in peace -- and may GWB rot in hell.
