http://www.dailymail.com/news/News/2005111835/Three people are being considered for the U.S. Attorney vacancy created by Kasey Warner's resignation, said State Republican Party chairman Robin Capehart.
Speculation is that Wood County Prosecutor Ginny Conley is the frontrunner for President George W. Bush's nomination and that current acting U.S. Attorney Chuck Miller will not be named to the post.
Putnam County Prosecutor Mark Sorsaia also is on the president's short list of candidates, all of whom are Republicans.
Capehart said he's heard nothing about the White House's leaning toward Conley and hasn't been consulted by anybody in the Bush administration. He did confirm that Conley, Sorsaia and Miller are the candidates being considered.
