LTTE I had to share
From the October 30 edition of the Times West Virginian, which seems to get more batshit crazy as the years pass:

Is state really ‘ almost heaven’?

In one of its aspects, the stone slab on the state flag of West Virginia represents the ziggurat at Ur, a prototype of the Tower of Babel. “ And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach into heaven; ...” (Genesis 11: 4) Primarily, the design of the state flag is based on the Egyptian sky chart, which is many thousands of years old.

The overall theme, “ As above, so below,” features 11 constellations of the zodiac in celebration of the annual resurrection of the god Osiris.

Each of the heavenly symbols has an earthly counterpart: Thus, the stone slab in the heavens represents the constellation Eridanus, and, on Earth, it represents the Sphinx at Giza.

The flag, like layers on an onion, is overlaid with 12 images from the crypt of Skull and Bones, a super- secret society founded in 1832, at Yale University. And so, the stone slab depicts the tombstone of an open burial vault. Ten magic symbols from Madame H. P. Blavatsky’s mystic brooch are also overlaid upon the state banner.

The stone slab in this representation becomes the blue triangle — prayers going up — of the hexagram, the device used by sorcerers to conjure up demonic spirits! Personages and signs from the Book of Revelation are also included in the state flag.

The dragon, the beast, and the image of the beast — the pagan triune godhead — becomes the red triangle coming down, forming the second half of the hexagon.

The flag also features the mark of the beast, the number of the beast, the false prophet, and the name of blasphemy! “So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of the earth: and they left off to build the city.” (Genesis 11:8) The ancient builders never completed the tower that was to reach into heaven, and according to Scripture, they almost made it.

To wit, when Sen. Robert C. Byrd says that West Virginia is “ almost heaven,” does he know about the occult system that created our state? Certainly, he must have learned something over the past 59 years of public service! Or is it a case that he doesn’t know! In either case, a reasonable person could conclude that he is disqualified, unfit to hold public office of any sort! Behold a pale horse.

4. You're not kidding
I've driven in some scary, weird places over the past 20 years, but one of the few times I was really freaked was at a gas station on U.S. 50 near Aurora. Something about the situation just made me uneasy. I was a woman alone among all these truck-driving, chew-spitting guys with Confederate flags on their pickups. Just gave me the heebies.
