State GOP’s bills pile up

The Republican State Executive Committee of West Virginia recently has exchanged letters with federal regulators about its financial debts, which were about $200,000 earlier this year.

Ironically, the letters signed by Republican Party Treasurer Scott D. Reed were written on stationary prepared by Pro Print Professional Printers, a downtown Charleston business run by Rick Paugh.

Pro Print is one of more than 70 businesses and individuals who have not been paid for work or services performed for the Republican State Executive Committee.

Heh heh! I guess those corporate backers are afraid they will get caught up in another DeLay money laundering scheme.

The GOP hyped up a Capito/Byrd matchup, only to see Smelly chicken out. That's taken the wind out of Republicans' sails in this state. And with all the 'values party' scandals, Capito will be lucky if she is reelected to the House of Representatives.

Not a happy time for GOP fundraisers in WV.
