We had several of them passing out his literature at the Snohomish County Democratic convention. If LaRouche is a Democrat I'm a silver spoon conservative. I remember first hearing of LaRouche some 28 years ago during the 1976 presidential election (my how time flies). Then he was head of something called the Labor party and vowed he was a marxist.
Eight years later he was at it again only this time running as a democrat. Then he called Walter Mondale a stooge of the communists. Some other things from LaRouche? He claimed Queen Elizabeth II of England was involved in the drug trade and felt the anti-missle program "Star Wars" would rescue the US economy.
Anyone else have these clowns at their county convention?
They are in downtown Seattle all the time, they are totally nuts.
I talked to a few of them one day, and we agreed that we were against the Bush administration but that was about all. They have some pretty wild beliefs to say the least.
I used to see them very often in San Francisco when I visitd my daughter. They would frequently set up a table at the community college where I worked in Rockville, MD.
When I refused his little newspaper, the guy in the leather jacket tried to engage me in conversation. I just told him I didn't agree with a man who thought the Queen of England was behind a massive conspiracy to control the world. His next gambit was to try to denigrate the whole process. "It's all just a horse race isn't it". Geez I wanted to punch the guy right then and there. After the convention was over I saw a LaRouche poster on the wall. I tore it down and stuffed it in the garbage. It was my good deed for the day.
