2. Just a guess, but maybe because
McKenna had high name recognition and has done a good job. I voted for Ladenburg but it wasn't because I had anything against McKenna.

3. I wouldn't call having WA state rank among the highest in identity theft at all
McKenna is as anti-consumer as they come.

4. I agree. Then why when Dem's took other major offices, did they lose this one. An important one? nm

5. McKenna had name recognition and a slick campaign--
--that portrayed him as a "moderate."

8. I"ve heard John Ladenburg speak live and he was electrifying
He deserves higher office in this state. I don't think he had much money. And McKenna is perceived to have done a good job, or at least he's neutral enough that no one notices him.

I really like John Ladenburg and was glad to see him resurface for a statewide race. Any other ideas where he could serve?

9. Pierce County Golf Course
A lot of people in Pierce County are seriously pissed over him shoving a very expensive golf course in Chambers Creek down our throats. This course is so expensive to play on that only the very well off will be able to do it. It cost the county tax payers a shit load of our money and was very controversial both for cost and environmental considerations. I for one left my ballot blank for this position and I know a lot of other county residents who voted against him mainly for this reason and this is his home county. If you remember in 2004 this where Gregoire was supposed to quite well in and lost the county. Then what happened was she only won by 133 votes. If you can't get this county as a Democrat, then you have serious problems winning as a state wide candidate.
