1. Yes!
Attorney/Congressional aide James Socas.

http://www.leesburg2day.com/current.cfm?catid=31&newsid=8802

Don't see a web site for him yet. Hopefully, it'll be up and running soon.

I'm in the 11th. We have a great candidate -- Len Sistek -- who is taking on Little Tommy Davis. Len doesn't have a website yet, either, but I'm looking forward to working on his campaign.

Nothing would please me more than to have Tom retiring from Congress and spending his free time with his girlfriend, Jeannmarie Devolites (whose career I'm also trying to put an end to). ;)

3. Wolf should've been gone a long time ago
He's one of the dumbest Congresspeople this state's ever produced - with the exception of Bill Scott. Scott was named by Washingtonian Magazine back in 1971 as the "Dumbest Member of Congress".

A dubious distinction, to say the least, LOL.

4. I think that's why Scott quit. The charge was true, and he didn't like it
One term and he was done. He was a terrible Congressman who got redistricted out. So what did he do? Run for the Senate. It was generally thought of as hopeless against a well-respected William Spong (D). Unfortuanately, the year was 1972 and McGovern was overwhelmed. A last minute surge of money from the far-right and Virginia lost a voice of reason.

5. I loved Bill Spong
A great man and a gentleman, to boot.

Scott was dumber than a sack of rocks. Bad enough he was in the House, but then he had to go and embarrass us in the Senate, too.

6. Wolf has an achilles heel--gambling.
He's one of the most outspoken Members of Congress when it comes to outlawing gambling. As a result of his singleminded crusade, he has managed to offend virtually all of the 562 American Indian tribes in America, not to mention the commercial gaming industry. Here is a typical example.

In 2001 tribal and commercial gambling combined drew $38 billion in total revenues. If Socas' people are smart they'll start sniffing around organizations like NIGA and the AGA. If they do, Socas' campaign will have one advantage over previous challengers--dependable funding. That alone is probably enough to make the GOP pee ice water.

9. OMG Ed, is that you, LOL?
So he's finally gonna make an honest woman out of her, huh? When did this happen? Was there any mention of it in The Post? It seems as if those two have been canoodling forever. Geez, talk about a marriage made in Hell, LOL. I've spent so much time on Pennsylvania politics that I'm still trying to catch up on Virginia politics.

Well, the sooner we retire him, the sooner we can get rid of Jeannemarie, and that can't be soon enough for me. That "woman" isn't human.

Off topic: We look forward to having you over for dinner May 1st. :)

8. Tell us more about Sistek
I'm in Davis's district, and would like nothing more than to see him out of office.

10. Mountain Laurel, I was looking to see if Len had a
campaign website up yet, and he doesn't. It would be SO much easier to paste the link, because he has numerous excellent qualifications. Len was a Meet-Up coordinator for Howard Dean in the 11th District. He is also an attorney (I believe) for the House Veterans Affairs Committee.

The Fairfax or Prince William County Democratic Committees may have some "Len Literature".

12. Not on state election board website.
None of these proposed candidates are on the state elections website. The ones that are, do not have email addresses or website addresses.

16. Does anyone know any more email addresses or websites?
Edited on Wed Jul-14-04 11:58 AM by Virginian
I am looking for info on the Dem Candidates for Virginia Congressional Candidates.
I have entered all the websites and email addresses I can find in the DU Campaign Underground database. I would appreciate any additional website or Email info any of you has.

I also would like someone else to do the media part of this. Any Volunteers?
