Chris Matthews says he checks the Intrade website for trends so I decided to check it out. I am not a statistician and don't understand all the details but there is definitely a trend.

In August, the trend toward the Democratic electors started to drop after doing so well in June. Was this because of the negative ads the Republicans were putting out?

Reduce the length of time from "Livetime" to "Custom" and put in 90 days to see it more clearly.

1. The answer that the entire shift toward McCain has been because of the negative ads.
Negative attacks--instilling deep doubts about your opponent--works! If Obama is not willing to do the same thing back to McCain a McCain victory is likely.
