Great turnout at annual Albemarle Dems BBQ today

Tonight was the Albemarle County Democrats barbecue in Crozet, an annual fundraiser which also serves as a rallying point for the last push to the fall elections. The turnout was amazing--somewhere between 150% and 200% of last year's numbers, I'd guess. We ran out of name tags three times, all the Kerry/Edwards buttons and bumper stickers sold out, and lots of people were asking about and signing up for volunteer work. Lt. Gov Tim Kaine and 5th District congressional candidate Al Weed were on hand to speak along with the local party folk.

Watch out, America. Virginia Democrats are on the move.
