Susan Swecker new VA Kerry director; Kerry in Charlottesville??

Folks on the Kerry mailing list just received a notice like this one, announcing the appointment of Susan Swecker as state campaign director:

I'm baffled by the third paragraph, though. "My first day on the job, I spent the entire day with John Kerry. It was exhilarating. We started in northern Virginia, and then went to Charlottesville, Norfolk, and Roanoke. He has really spent some time in this state."

I'm in Charlottesville, and I sure don't remember Kerry being here since the J-J dinner in August 2003. Did I miss something major?

1. Kerry was in Roanoke right before the primary.

Not sure about anything more recent though.

Edwards is coming here (Roanoke) Saturday. No details of exactly when and where yet though.
