That was one of the worst nights of my life :(

We had an election party, I still have the champagne - I cannot even look at it. We were in tears.

voting machines.

4. I am WAY past nervous.
Kilgore scares the shit out of me. (Of course, since he's a repug, that means he ran exactly the kind of campaign he wanted to).

One elderly gentlemen told me he voted and wanted to know if I was doing exit polls. I think he was disappointed that I wasn't!

are illogical.

12. I feel slightly sick to my stomach
Edited on Tue Nov-08-05 06:58 PM by CountAllVotes
queasy and upset feeling. Nervous and not in a great mood. Lots of things going on though.

However, it was after I heard that CNN was saying 1 hr. after the polls opened that all of the propositions in California were winning.

Low turnout the reason and bad weather. Nice and sunny here where I live today. !

Makes me very sick. Is this the beginning again all over already?! :puke: :puke: :puke:

It is time to go if this is indeed the case. We don't matter anymore because no, our vote does NOT count.

Peace

or is it the other way around? either way, there was bad weather in the valley, a stronghold for republicans, but bath county is apparently doing well, which is good for our a.g. candidate

20. I believe in the Virginia Democratic trend.
I hope that it is apparent this year. I have great faith in Virginia to turn blue. It was the first southern state to switch from Democrat to Republican in the 20th century and I think it will be the first southern state to reverse in the 21st.

27. Here's my worry....
Here in Tidewater, there were zero Kaine signs and zero Kaine operatives handing out flyers where I voted. Now, granted, my polling place is very red, but when I passed the more "blue" polling places around here, THAT's where all the Kaine folks were. Um, preaching to the choir? Plenty of my neighbors were undecided, because they were anywhere from underwhelmed to horrified by Kilgore. Yet, no one was giving them any reason to do anything other than hold their noses and vote a straight Repub ticket as always.

28. bringing out the tidewater vote is somewhat of a double-edged sword
mcdonnell's counting on a large african american crossover because of the wilder endorsement, but it would clearly help kaine.
