3. MUCH more liberal than the rest of the state
But still far more conservative than across the river in MD or DC.

7. Depends on the county:
PW is a swing county--that could be good or bad. Fairfax is relatively Democratic, though not overwhelmingly so. Arlington is totally Democratic.

It depends on the county--and actually it depends on the precinct (read subdivision) the increased turnout is coming from. It could be good or bad. Probably good, but it could be bad.

8. WTOP Reports High Turnout in South, West Va. I call BS.
I dropped a Virginian coworker off at his polling place after work today (I'm a Marylander) to vote for Kaine in Alexandria. I was impressed with the turnout for being 6:30pm.

I assume it's characteristic for NoVa to have busier polling places later in the day than the more rural parts of the state?
