4 congressional repukes in VA have no opposition

" short, with just a handful of days left for the filing deadlines in Virginia and Arizona, six congressional Republicans in those two budding battleground states face no opposition. Not even a token name under the (D) line of the ballot.

The (so far) lucky Republicans facing no opposition thus far are:

Virginia
Jo Ann Davis (1st CD)
Randy Forbes (4th CD)
Bob Goodlatte (6th CD)
Tom Davis (11th CD)"

Virginia is a swing state this year - we need people to run in these races!

1. This is not unusual here in VA

I can't tell you how many times these people have run un-opposed. And when Forbes was elected for the first time, he ran such a scandalous, hateful campaign against his female, black opponent - it was horrible. He's a useless piece of repuke garbage.

The only one in this area (Hampton Roads) who has an opponent, is Ed Shrock. There is a Dem running against him this time around. I just wonder if he can succeed against the "machine" that runs things in this state. Thank goodness we've had Mark Warner as our governor - he has done us all proud.

12. I remember Tom DeLay sending in people

He sent the same staffers of his that broke into the Dade county ballot place in 2000. One of the guys was ripping out signs for the Dem candidate in front of the building where she was speaking. Our mayor at the time came out and got in a fight with him. Mayor Ward was going to be charged until someone found out that the defendant was acting illegally in being there in the first place.

2. Forbes is not running unopposed.

Scumbag Randy does have competition. I can't remember his name. I will get a link about the guy. He doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell, but at least I won't have to write in my own name this time.

14. Tom Davis HAS an opponent

Found this out last week. It's Ron Christian, our candidate who ran against Tom's girlfriend (soon to be wife - Jeannemarie Devolites) last year and lost by less than about 4,000 votes.

has taken his place. His name is Ken Lock??myer as I have forgotten the spelling. He is a retired foreign service officer and I only had a 5 minute converstaion with him at Jim Moran's victory party.

BTW, Virginia ballots NEVER have "D" or "R" marked after any name....Virginia ballets do NOT list party affiliations...that prevents anyone from voting by party affiliation (like straight Democrat or reTHUlican candidates)....it's real strange....

it's also why EVERYONE needs to find out WHO is Democrat BEFORE they vote...get active...STAND UP...help in YOUR neighborhood...
