2. Thanks for the Info
My daughter goes to VCU and lives in the Fan. I will let her know but she probably knows since she is a member of Young Democrats at VCU.

3. The Young Democrats....
...are sponsoring this event.

The Commons building is on Floyd...but the Commons open area is on Park. A Kaine staffer told me this morning it would be in the open area.

6. Oh only about TWO THOUSAND people showed up
excuse me AT LEAST 2,000. Not that you would know from the news coverage this morning (NONE) and I saw TV cameras there.

Great HUGE crowd filling the open area at the VCU student commons. Kaine, Barack, Bobby, Leslie Byrne, and Creigh Deeds were all there.

Great just great.

8. Wow!
I'm glad they had such a nice turnout. 2,000 sounds like a lot to me. I went to a Kaine town hall meeting and was thrilled to see 100 people there!

Hopefully, Kilgore voters will stay home since he is connected to Bush.

7. It really was very exciting.
We got to shake hands with everyone afterwards. They were very accessible. And perfect weather. :hi:

9. Yes it was
The funny part was at the end. I was just about the last person to shake Kaine's hand and he was clearly in full hand shaking mode. He was talking to someone (the press had just moved away) and as I stuck out my hand his left arm comes over the grabs my arm his right hand shakes mine he looks at me (his eyes were glazed over in a big way) and he just said "thank you". He didn't recognize me. ;-)

I don't mean that as a negative towards him-my wife from 10 feet away was laughing at how he was just on autopilot/campaign mode.

No problem by me.

10. They will probably be just beyond exhaustion by the end of all this.
Adrenaline can get you through election night, but there are bound to be some "glazed" hours between now and then.

You and I were probably just a few feet from each other.

11. Damn I should have worn my Indian head dress
Just kidding.

I forgot to mention that he never looked at my arm or my right hand.

I was in a blue and red striped shirt pushing a baby stroller.

Sorry I missed you.

13. Holy Crap!
I think I literally bumped into you!

Why was a guy from NH at a Kaine rally?

I was in Richmond for my sister's wedding in Glen Allen, and I decided to go to the Kaine rally. Yeah, I know, I should get a life and go to Williamsburg or Monticello, but I'll do that bit next time.
