Ras Poll Shows Tight Race in Potential Allen/Warner Race for US Senate
April 18, 2005--If Governor Mark Warner decides to challenge Senator George Allen in 2006, Virginians could be in for an interesting campaign season. A Rasmussen Reports survey shows the candidates within four points of each other in a survey with a 4.5 percentage point margin of sampling error.

Allen, the Republican incumbent, currently earns 47% of the vote while Warner attracts 43%. Many people consider it unlikely that Warner will challenge Allen. It would be difficult for other Democrats to match Warner's numbers at this time.

Is the Gov race this fall? Sorry, I've had my head up my national political butt, the dates are starting to melt my cerebral cortex (no offense to Terri).

2. Kaine for Gov in '05, Warner for Senate in '06.
I think some of the VA voters who do not pay attention, but vote anyway may confuse Mark Warner with John Warner. I don't know if that is a plus or a minus for our current Governor.

George Allen is in lock step with the rest of the neo-cons and needs to be removed from office before they annoint him.

As much as I would like to see Mark Warner run for president or vice president, I think it is essential to remove Allen. Mark Warner is one of the few who can do it. The nation may be able to find another viable candidate for president easier than the state can find another viable candidate for the Senate.

I can't believe that Kilgore could possibly lead Kaine in the polls. He has doen nothing but ride the coattails of Warner, even the ones that he opposed. Kaine is the better man. Go to his website to get the truth about him and then talk him up. Kilgore has put out a lot of lies about Kaine. Don't let those lies be the perception the voters have of the man. Tell your republican friends that Kaine is the son-in-law of former Governor Holton. Even Holton thinks Kaine is the better candidate.
