Fourth Anniversary of the War in Iraq - Events TODAY !

In Recognition of the 4-year anniversary of the Iraq War,
join your friends and neighbors in a call to end this war and bring our troops home.
A 1.5 mile peace walk starting and ending at the County Court House.
Speakers and music before and after the peaceful march.

Monday, March 19th 2007 11:00 a.m.
Protest and march from Pioneer Park in March at 11 AM from Pioneer Park (400 South and 300 West)
in Salt Lake City to Washington Square (the Old City County Building on 400 South state Street)
culminating in protest speeches by several well-known local and national individuals who are
advocating to bring the Troops HOME NOW!

Sponsored by We the People for Justice & Peace
- Gather at Pioneer Park. 300 South & 300 West at 11:00am.
March to Washington Square, 451 South State Street.
- March will leave from the southeast corner of Pioneer Park, 400 South 300 West
- Follow 400 South (east-bound lane / south side of street) to Washington Square
- TRAX will be closed and UTA will be re-routed during march (more details to come)
- Rally at noon with five speakers including Mayor Rocky Anderson


RSVP • PEACE PROCESSION AND MEMORIAL VIGIL
Monday, March 19th 2007 6:30pm
Dress in black and bring lumination (candle, flashlight- some candles provided).
6:30pm: Gather on the sidewalk at the Federal Building in Salt Lake City (100 South State Street)
7:00pm Silent Walk to City Creek Park (North Temple State Street) where 60 luminaries will be
launched representing killed Afghans, Iraqis and Utahns.
