Houston Campaign Ethics Reform Summit
Hosted by Campaigns for People
Tuesday, February 1, 2005
Dinner at 6:00 p.m. - Program at 6:30 pm.
The University of St. Thomas, Jones Hall

This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited - Please RSVP to patrick@campaignsforpeople.org

AARP - Texas, Memorial West Republican Women, the League of Women Voters - Houston Area , Gray Panthers, Texas Impact, the Muslim Public Affairs Council, and the American Association of University Women - Texas

Join fellow reform-minded Texans for a community summit. Speakers and panelists will talk about the nearly unlimited amount of money used to finance our State's elections, key reforms to clean up Texas politics, and why that matters for Houston. Join in a statewide effort to rally 10,000 Texans in support of campaign finance reform in the 2005 legislature and learn how you can become involved in the Houston area.

This event is free and open to the public, however seating is limited. Please RSVP to patrick@campaignsforpeople.org so we can assure you a seat and a meal.

Location Information: The University of St. Thomas is located in downtown Houston at 3800 Montrose Blvd. Free parking on nearby streets is limited - ample parking is available at the Moran Center on campus at 1200 West Alabama St. ($2 fee). 3. Be the change you want to see
Sue, the only way to get rid of Tom DeLay is to keep ridding his sorry corrupt ass. DeLay doesn't give a damn about campaign finance reform. He owns the Legislature and he likes it that way. We do however, and we have to keep telling our TX State Reps and Senators that the people do want reform. We want open and transparent government and we want to limit the influence of money in our state government.

So step 1, if you're in Houston take the time to get involved.
