Sorry but I just recieved an e-mail from WHDC that Chris has had to postpone his appearance.

The nice things I said below are still valid.

Congressman Chris Bell, who filed the ethics complaints against the roachman, will be the guest speaker this Saturday at the West Houston Democratic Club.

There is a strong possibility the Chris, who lost his congressional seat in the roachman's redistricting caper, will be tossing his hat in the ring for Governor of Texas.

Please join WHDC in welcoming Chris, thanking him for his courage in filing the ethics complaint, his absolutely classy way he has handled himself and cheering him on in his future endeavors.

The WHDC sign-in begins at 9:30am, with the meeting beginning at 10:00am.

I just sent an email to some Fort Bend Democrats to see if they can come to show support for West Houston Dems and Chris Bell.

You might let the webmaster at fortbenddemocrats.org know about your meetings and/or events - I'm sure he'd be delighted to put it on the website.

BTW, the Harris County Democrats website http://www.hcdp.org list many events taking place in Ft. Bend county, including I believe the FTDP regular meetings, so I imagine someone there is monitoring the Harris County calendar.
