Perry funds dry up after gaffes and dip in polls
WASHINGTON — Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s campaign fundraising has gone into a tailspin as a result of poor debate performances and plunging poll numbers, jeopardizing his position as the best-funded Republican presidential candidate of 2012.

Perry’s associates and supporters say his campaign has redoubled its money-raising efforts in the past week to ensure that his campaign will have enough money to survive the first three contests of the 2012 election calendar: Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

But Perry’s loyal backers are running into resistance from Republican donors. One Perry fundraiser, who asked not to be named, said he received 15 RSVPs for a recent event from potential donors saying they might attend. But after a gaffe-marred Perry debate performance, none showed up.

“The debates have taken a toll,” the fundraiser said. “The national numbers have taken a toll. People see the campaign on a negative trajectory.”

1. The joke that keeps on giving
Perry has been the biggest joke of this presidential campaign. Cain is just a sleazy creep and his problems are all of his own making. Perry however has screwed up the opportunity of a lifetime because he's an idiot. And now he's now known nationally for being a stupid idiot! Waste that republican donor money, Perry! Yee haw!!!

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

4. Newt is the original flip flopper
He'll say anything to get elected - or change his position to get elected. And he's been doing it a lot longer than flip flopper Mitt Romney too.

Newt now wants to be known as having predicted the financial crisis coming in 2008. Well he should have known it of course, because he was right in the middle of it making $1.6 million off of Freddie Mac. Hell he's like Phil Gramm - a big scammer who will get away with causing the very thing he's protesting against now. :puke:

6. This has been one fun ride!
I know I said I couldn't foresee Perry getting the nod, but I never in my wildest dreams expected the specular flameout his campaign has become. :wow:

I sometimes feel like a person who cannot tear their eyes from a macabre wreck. Well, until I catch myself laughing out loud over how his stupidity has been exposed for all the world, and the GOP to see.

We may well be witnessing the end of Perry's political career in Texas as well. If his big money supporters are backing off him now, they're not likely to support him down the road in Texas. The little guy just didn't work out the way they'd all planned. He's going to lose his clout and seat at the head of the Republican Governors Association, too. Watch for it. He has no prospects on a national level anymore. There's no real future in backing him now. They may as well pick someone else and put their money behind a new Governor who they think will have a chance at moving up the political ladder for them.

All that GOP time, scheming and MASSIVE amounts of money wasted on this clown. You gotta love it! :rofl:

what is even funnier is the exposure of all candidate coachroachs, and the attention they have gotten with their own record.
Just look at the whole bunch an ask a Repug if this is their candidate that we all saw on 6:00 news. The whole group stinks according to their own rules. Blow them up one day and bust their bubble the next day.LOL
