3. He's as big a nut as Sarah Palin
When I called him Wednesday morning, Friedman told me he's also supporting Sharron Angle, the Tea Party candidate running against Senate majority leader Harry Reid—and he's sees the Tea Party as the most inspiring political movement on the landscape. "When I look at the Tea Party," he said, "I really think almost that's what the Democrats used to be."

Angle is a nutcase and if he supports her then he should be in a mental asylum.

Riffing on the "I'm not a witch" ad:

"I'm not a wit. I'm nothing you've heard good things about.
I'm you, Texas tea-baggers, we all think we're perfect.
But none of us can be happy until everyone is miserable around us. blah, blah, blah

Oh and fuck you Kinky!

:crazy::crazy::crazy:

4. On the bright side, at least he is NOT running this time
Edited on Sat Oct-23-10 07:17 AM by txlibdem
If he were running as an independent again he would only siphon off more Democratic votes than RW votes because of his policy positions.

Kinky definitely went off the deep end for nominating Libertarian and Tea Party candidates but he has a following here in Texas and nobody can (or should) deny it, from your link:
Friedman, the sometimes-humorist, sometimes-politician who often references Democrats of yore like Adlai Stevenson, says the Democrats now "come off as a bunch of spineless wimps."

...snip...

Friedman himself ran as an independent in the 2006 governor's race, and received over 12 percent of the vote—much to the consternation of Democrats. His candidacy focused on independent disenchanted voters.

He is for term limits and legalization of Marijuana. :party:

6. True, I don't think we EVER have to worry about him trying...
to run as a Democrat EVER AGAIN- but I bet he'll show up as a tea bagger candidate.
