According to Robert's Rules of Order, the chair can only make
a motion to nominate or to make any motion if he/she steps aside and allows someone else to take the chair while he/she makes the motion, etc. Yet, our County Chair says he may make a motion to nominate precinct chairs without doing this. I know it is small potatoes, but I want to know if this is indeed the case. Anyone have this info? Thanks.
