Chet Edwards DINO
No, he's not even that. Just saw his commercial and it turns my stomach.

When President Obama and Nancy Pelosi pressured Chet Edwards,

Chet stood up to them and voted no against their trillion dollar health care bill, and no to Cap and Trade.

Chet votes with the conservative Chamber of Commerce sixty-seven percent of the time.

And when Washington liberals wanted to take away our guns, Chet said no.

That’s why the National Rifle Association has endorsed Chet Edwards over Bill Flores.

1. Chet Edwards Better Than A Republican Alternative
The difference between a relatively conservative representative like Chet Edwards and a Tea-bagging Republican is that Chet Edwards can be counted on to vote with progressives at least SOME of the time. A lock-step Republican (which is what Edwards' district would get if they vote for Flores) would vote to shut down the federal government, shaft veterans and serving members of the US armed forces, repeal President Obama's health care initiative, aid and abet speculators' efforts to gut re-regulation of the investment and banking industries, and work to restore a Bush/Gingrich/Gramm/DeLay "What-me-worry?" attitude to workplace and environmental safety regulation and enforcement.

There is a difference between what is ideal and what state Democrats can get. Chet Edwards' district is far more politically and socially conservative than an inner-city multi-ethnic district. He knows it, and he represents their views. That's why he's been getting re-elected.

Given the choice between a moderate Democrat and a reactionary Tea-bagging Republican who would happily see the poor and disadvantaged go hungry and homeless, I'll support Chet.
