Rick Perry Lies About Obama White House Never Calling Him
Another day, another lie from Ricky, Chicky, Chicky....
PoltiFact Check 7/19/10
Governor Rick Perry says he's never fielded phone call the Obama White House

Speaking to anchor Neil Cavuto, Perry said: "We don’t get a lot of calls from this White House." Asked about his relations with the Democrat’s administration, the Republican governor said: "I have, frankly, never had a call from them."

(snip)
On April 29, 2010, according to a press release on the White House website, the president called the governors of states on the Gulf of Mexico, including Perry, "to discuss the BP oil spill situation and assure the governors that the administration will continue to use every single available resource at our disposal in the response efforts."

(snip)
An earlier release, from July 6, 2009, says Perry was among five governors to participate in a conference call with Vice President Joe Biden.

(snip)
But both the White House’s information and Perry’s own schedule contradict his claim he’s never had a call from this White House. Presuming his state schedule reflects what actually happened, Perry got such a call two weeks before the Fox interview aired.

Pants on Fire!

Rick Perry is lying bigger than Sarah Palin these days! :eyes:

1. Well, to be fair, Rick Perry probably has more to lie about than Sarah Palin.
I mean, he's been governor for ten years, she was in office two. Plus, he's got an election to win, and she's just twittering around for her own ego. So his list of things he has to hide and bury and not let anyone know about is probably much bigger than hers. :)

2. Perry/Palin - 2012
They're way at the top of the GOP lying game - way ahead. So naturally they should win the nomination for the GOP ticket! Oh please, please make it so!

Perry/Palin twittering twits - Refudiating, repoofiating, and reloofaiating - non stop on Twitter all the way though 2012.

Go on we dare you to double down on the stupid,GOP. Just do it!

3. That scares me.
I remember partying when Bush decided to run against Richards, and then against Gore. Both times I remember joking "I was afraid they'd run a candidate who could actually win!"

 Well, he didn't actually beat Gore, but I still can't believe he got more than 20% of the vote. So I'm careful about crafting who I want the other side to nominate. I just don't trust the intelligence of this nation anymore.

4. I have more confidence in the country
I know, I know the stupid has made a big comeback in the last two years. But I still don't think they are in the majority in the country. The double P ticket can "wee-wee up" all they want, I have full confidence that the majority of the voters would piss on them in 2012. :P

5. Bush said his favorite philosopher was Jesus.
He commented in one debate that he read four newspapers every morning, and in another that he never read newspapers. He couldn't name any of the major leaders of hotspots in a pop quiz given him. He put food on families and asked "is our children learning."

And Reagan made him look smart.

I hope you're right. I love the America you believe in.

6. Majority of Americans Blame Bush for Economy, Wars
I know you've seen this poll:

Mobile Tribune 7/16/10
Bloomberg Poll: Majority of Americans Blame Bush for Economy, Wars
A Bloomberg poll that surveyed 1,004 American adults revealed that a surprising 60% blame George W. Bush for the war in Afghanistan, and 60% believe that war cannot be won. President Obama recently sent over 50,000 more troops into Afghanistan. The poll also revealed that a majority of Americans blame "eight years" of a Bush administration for the country's financial deficit.

Not all Americans are stupid and only the really stupid ones are making all the noise right now. I think things will settle down by 2012. I'm not saying we won't lose some seats in Congress - I don't feel that confident. But I really do feel American voters are not going to reward the "party of no" with control of Congress.

Have faith.
