Hi,Dallas DUers...any good groups to join?
I am on a 6 month "vacation" due to my recent brain surgery, and would like to get more involved in local politics and community activism.Any suggestions as to good Dallas County groups to join?I live in Ellis county-so guess how many we have here...My speech is still crappy, but getting better. The only way for it to improve is to associate with like minds.Love you guys :)

Best of health to you and a full recovery.

Can't help on the clubs advice - just wanted to say get healthy soon.

4. Ellis County is not Dallas, really
http://www.elliscountydemocrats.org/

Plenty of stuff in Dallas, but if you are in Ellis County, I would check out the local county party.

I don't know if you are a "texan" or not...so if you say "Waxahachie"...is not "wax" like waxing a car, but more of a diphthong "o" sound...like "walk" or "wok". That way you'll sound local :)
