Statewide problem with Motor-Voter registrations.
I can personally attest to three people at my precinct who had to vote provisionally because they said they had moved into the state and checked the box on their driver's license, but they were not registered.

I have a personal friend who was a clerk in another precinct who can attest to "at least 30 or 40" people who moved, checked the box on their driver's licence change form, and were not registered and had to go to a different precinct.

I have seen emails on other lists from judges in San Antonio that attest to the same thing.

Anyone seen this problem at their precinct? Check in! :)

1. I saw a lot of this
poll watching during early voting and also working in a precinct on election day. Sometimes a phone call to the elections office would locate their registration in another precinct, many times nothing would be found. They usually ended up voting a provisional.

and a deputy registrar. I talked to countless people who never got voter cards after thinking they registered when they got their licenses

3. Can you private message me
with the specific info? I wrote mine up like this. I have six so far.

(Name), alternate judge, precinct XXXX, Dallas County.

Phone number: XXX-XXX-XXXX. Email address: XXXXXXXXX
I had two or three people tell me that they had registered by checking the box on their driver's license application when they moved. These people showed driver's licenses that indicated their homes were within the geographic area of the precinct. They were not on the voter rolls for the precinct, nor were they on the data CD-ROM provided by the Dallas County Elections office, nor were they in the computer when I called the main office. I told them that they could vote provisionally and they did so.

Thanks!
C
