"Perry sounds like White House, not White, on mind"
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/6918806.html

SAN ANTONIO — Gov. Rick Perry is gearing up for a re-election campaign against Democrat Bill White, but at a Tuesday night panel discussion he sounded more like a man running for president.

Joining conservative commentators Michael Medved and Michael Reagan for an “America Unplugged” tour stop at TriPoint's Grantham Center, Perry tackled everything from health care to Israeli security, invoking his home state only to tell the crowd of more than 200 that Texas offers a model that Washington should follow.

“Here in Texas, we prefer to keep things rather simple,” Perry said. “We like our government limited, our taxes low and our opportunity unlimited. Of course, Washington seems to be hell-bent on reversing the progress that we've made in Texas.”

Perry derided congressional Democrats' push to pass health-care-reform legislation this week, saying he could not “remember a more important time in my political life than the next 48 to 72 hours.”

Wow, is he delusional.

1. He is delusional but so is his whole "party of no"
I want Perry to be the Republican nominee for President in 2012. Pretty, pretty please. I just don't know how that happens when we hand him his ass this November in Texas.

No doubt that the hair-spray the man uses to glue his perfectly coiffed hair has affected his brain cells. He's even more empty headed than G.W.

2. Look at what the dick is going to do now

Perry plans to call voters about national healthcare bill
(snip)
And now, the campaign of Gov. Rick Perry is getting in on the action.

Perry is planning on hosting a conference call tonight at 7 p.m. to talk the people who live the congressional districts of four undecided Democrats.

Perry will be calling tens of thousands of registered voters who live the districts of: Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Laredo; Rep. Ciro Rodriguez, D-San Antonio; Rep. Solomon Ortiz, D-Corpus Christi, and Rep. Silvestre Reyes, D-El Paso. (He won’t be calling into Rep. Lloyd Doggett’s district, even though the Austin Democrat still hasn’t decided how to vote.)

What an a-hole! :grr:

4. One out of four Texans without health insurance is A-OK with him.
We must get him out of office. I'm sure he will do everything he can to prevent any type of health care reform in Texas.

I sure hope he's enjoying his government-run health care... paid for by us.

6. The problem is misinformed voters too - voting against their own best interests
Especially the ones that watch Fox news

Talking Points Memo 3/17/10
(Freaked) Fly on the Wall
TPM Reader JO checks in from the Lone Star State ...

I'm on a telephone town hall with my representative (unfortunately) Jeb Hensarling. Most of the callers are elderly and ill-informed. Sadly, they probably get most of their information from Fox News like my parents do. It's interesting to hear all the misconceptions floating around out there. This being Texas, a lot of the calls are about abortion. I've heard at least 2 callers complain about the federal funding of abortion they believe is part of the HCR bill. They mentioned Mexicans getting free abortions and even Chinese (???) abortions - whatever that means.

There's a little more there at the link above.

I wish we could ban Fox News! :puke:

3. Perry & Palin in 2012
And I hope he chooses Palin as vice so they can both see what people think about them and then I hope they shut up and go away, these two narcissists make me sick.
