To listen to the republicans I work with before the election was maddening
But now to hear them gloat and make fun, is nauseating and filling me with rage. To hear them make fun of Teresa now is making me want to scream. But I am holding my thoughts I am not going to say anything. Can not afford to lose my job. But if I hear one of them complain about what Bush is doing, WHAM they are going to get an ear full.

1. I know how hard that is
just remember there are millions of people who agree with you and trying very hard not to explode themselves... hugs to you and good luck with your job.

2. Prepare your snappy comebacks now.
For example: "Hey, four more years!"

Me: (big grin) Hmp, I can't wait to see what you think in four more years.

Them: Aw you're just sore.

Me: (another sly smile). Nah, come back and tell me what you think of Shrub in four more years.

I plan to act like I know more than they do and take a sly, taunting, "you're gonna get what you deserve" attitude. It'll drive them INSANE. I can't wait.

3. Out of the 2 * supporters I work with...1 has 2 sons draft age...the other
is ex military and I would think still young enough to be re-called.
They also both rent and as we know, * is wanting to get rid of the mortgage interest deduction.
I will just smile and know they are up the creek.

6. That's how I acted at work today. I said, "Ooooh, you guys just
wait and see what your president has in store for you!" and I smile and smile.

5. Tell them to go read Matthew 23.
Those phony "Christians" are calling perdition down on our heads.

I will not shutup about this.

7. Thanks For The Reference; I Just Looked It Up
Thanks for the reference! I'm embarassed to say that I haven't been much of a Bible-reader, so I pulled my copy from the shelf and flipped pages. You're right, Matthew 23 is NOT pleasant night-table reading for the hypocritical or the self-righteous, especially for literalists and inerrantists.

8. I hear ya...
My entire office are repugs. The hooting and hollering on Wednesday was vomit inducing. All draft age healthy young males, too. I wonder why none have enlisted, hmmmmm...

9. got a call from
a now former friend on wednesday. fortunately, one of the paralegals answered the phone, so i told her to tell "friend" i was busy. when i checked with the para to see what my friend had said (hoping it was on the lines of "i'm sorry, i know you're disappointed blah blah), the para said "i don't think you should call her back because when i told her you were busy, she laughed & said she'd get you later." :grr:

this "friend" & i had a bet, which to that point i was intending to back up, but now screw it. i also found out from another friend who works in her office that this "friend" tried gloating to her too. we've both decided to cut her out of our lives to the extent possible.

10. I slam-dunked the ONE
gloat I got and I guess the word got around cause that was all. My response:
"You know, that's the difference between me and you, and I suspect between Democrats and Republicans. Were the shoe on the other foot, I would NEVER have said anything shitty to you. The only thing worse than a sore loser is a sore winner. See ya!"
